develop clothing that heats and cools the wearer
we all wear clothes, in public spaces. why spend the energy to completely heat/cool the air space? clothing research would require solving the air exchange rate in an inexpensive but durable manner. our bodies generate moisture which must be controlled…or used to generate the energy required to maintain a constant temperature within the clothing. one would think that summer would be more difficult and the question is would cooling the body trunk be enough for comfort? our moisture contains salts…could these be a source of transferable energy woven into the clothes…but washable?
i was told that engineers have calculated that a solar array 12 miles on a side, in the arizona desert, could supply half the energy needed in the entire u.s. it is the grid which needs to be created…why is this not being investigated?
