i’m cael (like the vegetable). i’m a multidisciplinary artist, recent graduate from vcuarts, and an aspiring product developer. within my work, i value innovation, economic solutions, and functionality. i love to repurpose materials in unexpected ways, and i am inspired by youthful imagination. i dream of impossible things, and then i create them.
as an art student with a sculpture and extended media major, i have worked to master the creative process and principles of art, to develop a greater understanding and appreciation of how my perspective can impact change, and mature as an artist, creative, and a person. i plan to attend grad school for a masters in product innovation where i hope to advance my understanding of creative problem solving techniques, take on projects that challenge me to grow, and prepare me for a thriving career. in my future career as a product developer, i aim to take all that i have learned and apply it to a career in which i will have a hand in influencing progress, whether it be to help improve sustainability practices, bringing value to communities, or simply to make joy more accessible to those who need it most.
