elina is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in international affairs and political science, with minors in russian and history, while simultaneously working on her master’s degree in public administration at northeastern university. she has been named a peace ambassador for the institute of economics and peace in 2019. her appointment as an ambassador elina uses to explore ethical and legal ways to ensure that ai solely contributes to positive peace. she is a proud alumna of the global resilience institute, where she completed her second co-op as a research assistant. additionally, she has extensive experience both in global affairs and domestic politics. she serves at the massachusetts attorney general's office, as well as various community law firms and ngos across the globe. her primary area of research is local and global disarmament, arms trade processes and global security. most recently, elina conducted research at the united nations office at geneva, where she plans to come back in january 2020 for a full-time, 6 months, research position. she is also currently a press secretary for march for our lives: boston, as well as a president of the united nations association (una-usa) of northeastern.
