co-founder, president and executive director of advanced biofuels usa, joanne ivancic, has lived and worked in the washington area for 30 years. she graduated from george washington university national law center after working for many years in health law and healthcare risk management for national corporations, she worked for senator charles grassley under his chairmanship of the senate special committee on aging. later, she served as a lobbyist for atlantic biomass conversions, inc., promoting advanced biofuels research and production on capitol hill and with executive agencies. she has observed the development of advanced biofuels research and financing for more than ten years. joanne is licensed to practice law in washington, dc; virginia; and utah, and is a trained mediator; however, she prefers using this education and related skills to advocate for the adoption of advanced biofuels as an energy security, economic development, military flexibilty, climate change mitigation and pollution control solution.
