i am fourth year student at texas tech university in lubbock, texas. i am majoring in journalism and creative media industries with minors in history and media strategies. i am passionate about environmental storytelling, writing and visual communication.

i grew up in the desert of southern new mexico where i learned the importance of managing natural resources and the delicate balance required for healthy ecosystems. here i learned to love the outdoors, hiking and sports.

after graduating in december of 2025, i plan to pursue a career in broadcast journalism and continue reporting on environmental issues.
