i am a masters student in my second year at the middlebury institute of international studies in monterey, ca, graduating in may 2024. as an international environmental policy student, i specialize in ocean and coastal resource management. this past year, i worked with fair carbon analyzing blue carbon project potential globally based on each nation's ndcs. i also spearheaded a map project of reef health and fish biomass on ulithi atoll for community use through one people one reef. i am currently working with the iucn wcpa researching lessons learned from large scale marine protected areas (mpas) to inform the future establishment of high seas mpas. i plan to continue working with mpas in the future by co-creating policy that facilitates the protection and conservation of our oceans. i am passionate about informing and inspiring others to connect with natural places and people around the world because big change often starts with the smallest of cognitive shifts.
