hi! my name is matías and i'm a rising junior at st. andrew's high school in maryland. i am honored to be planet forward's only high school writer, and hope to bring new, insightful opinions that contribute to this important mission for the world's betterment. i have always carried with me an immense interest in anything that affects the world and how to fix it. this passion, i suspect, is what makes me so invested in politics and, more specifically, climate issues. as the most daunting challenge our world faces, it is imperative that we as a global community fight it, finding any means necessary to help the movement progress. for nearly all of my life, climate change has been a simple truth, an absolute reality. this led to me forming many ideas on climate change that i can't wait to share with the planet forward community!
