i am a student at suny college of environmental science and forestry studying environmental studies and i am taking a focus on communication of scientific information. i come from warren, pa, a small town suffering from environmental injustices such as air pollution and elevated lead levels. the environmental justice movement is very important to me, and i plan to continue to help my local community battle these issues.
the environmental movement tends to portray humans as this evil parasite sucking the life from this world. i'm not arguing that humans aren't altering the earth at an alarming rate, but the issue is much more complicated than the way we portray it. keep reading
