growing energy labs, inc: creating the internet of energy
everyone would like to run the world on electricity generated from renewable sources; however, these sources are often unreliable because they are absent when conditions change, such as when the sun goes down or the wind isn’t blowing. as a solution, we propose building an internet of energy in which everyone can operate a personal micro utility at their home or business.

a micro utility is a networked energy system that enables the storage of electricity from any source (renewable or otherwise) in your own home or business. it is connected to a network that tracks its economic value and the exchange of peer-to-peer energy through the electrical grid. all of this is possible with the convergence of internet communications and lower-cost, longer-lived storage devices.
