it’s time we start giving our young people credit. those in their late teens and early 20s are coming of age in a divided time, especially when it comes to environmental issues.
in this installment of activated voices, we spoke with rick beckel, a macalester college sophomore in minnesota, who coordinates outreach for maccares, a coalition that encourages and facilitates students, staff and faculty to go green on campus and in their communities. beckel says that college campuses are incubators for social action.
