the discovery of this patented technology was by dr. kinjoh phd physics & ee, and our company tsk corporation has funded the research to develop carrier line into usable products. we have a 1 megawatt solar plant in japan using this technology and we have tested on a smaller scale for more than 1 year. our plan is to start manufacturing and distribution march 2013.

this technology can be used for wind power inverter, sound and audio cables, led lights, high power electric line (eliminates the 6-9% power loss from power transmission lines), medical imaging and many other consumer products. this technology will save on the resources used in making shielding for cables and you will need fewer solar panels to create the same amount of power, hence reducing the toxic waste from manufacturing and disposing of panels.

a wintry solar bike ride under 15 watts //www.getitdoneaz.com/story/a-wintry-solar-bike-ride-under-15-watts/ sat, 12 jan 2013 10:00:28 +0000 http://dpetrov.2create.studio/planet/wordpress/a-wintry-solar-bike-ride-under-15-watts/ in this wintertime video my custom electric bike operates on just 3 volts or sub-15 watts of solar power, the lightweight hand made solar panel is rated for approximately 24 watts in optimal conditions. monocrystalline silicon solar cells are used but they offer just 16-17% in efficiency and are extremely brittle, newer flexible pv cell technology is close to 11% more efficient. two summers ago i initially performed a three-volt solar powered ride and was successful, i never got to video document that special test and have diligently been fighting set backs since then to make this video happen. out from my tool chest what i have now shown is basically a reflector that has extremely high-diffuse reflectance and has greater than 97% reflectance across the visible spectrum. with amazing advances announced in photovoltaics in labs during the past year alone, i believe we are on the cusp of a new age of solar transportation.

new york solar-thermal technology models home efficiency //www.getitdoneaz.com/story/new-york-solar-thermal-technology-models-home-efficiency/ wed, 17 aug 2011 13:00:34 +0000 http://dpetrov.2create.studio/planet/wordpress/new-york-solar-thermal-technology-models-home-efficiency/ the solar roofpod is a piece of urban infrastructure which captures the most underutilized energy, the sun, and utilizes it through innovative engineering systems to feed power to a single pod, whole buildings, and the city’s power grid.

the roofpod is engineered as a “smart house” rather than a “passive house.” accordingly, it features a number of sophisticated, innovative active systems to regulate and control the lighting, hvac, water systems, and appliances. to ensure optimal performance, the photovoltaic design uses micro-inverters in each individual panel, rather than regular inverters, to prevent shadows that might fall on only a portion of the array from decreasing the total output—as might happen in the city from neighboring building shadows or from leaves and snow. the hvac system is driven by the sun’s thermal energy, using much less electricity from the pv array than would a vapor-compression system.

solar thermal collectors on the solar trellis gather the sun’s heat, making direct use of this often-neglected abundant energy source. the thermal energy runs the adsorption system as well as the radiant floor system for cooling and heating. however, this system has a drawback: thermal energy from the sun cannot be collected when it is dark. therefore, we have designed a unique and innovative thermal storage system using a phase change material (pcm) tank composed of a paraffin and graphite composite. the use of pcm rather than a more typical water-based thermal storage system reduces the space requirement of the tank by half. the pcm tank will also supply thermal energy to the hydronic system, to supply hot water. black water will be collected into a septic tank (though in an actual rooftop installation the black water would be tied into the host building’s system), while graywater will be stored separately. stormwater will also be collected and used for irrigation, along with the graywater.

to integrate all the active systems of the roofpod, the energy management and control system is designed to ensure seamless levels of comfort quality and to regulate energy consumption for maximum efficiency. the integrated monitoring system senses and responds to weather conditions by regulating artificial light levels and controlling exterior shading. sensors collect lighting, heating, and cooling performance data and assemble it in a logger system. a next-generation graphic digital display allows the inhabitants to be aware of the roofpod’s minute-to-minute performance and encourages active energy-conscientiousness and may assist the city with peak load management.

installing a solar panel network on electric poles //www.getitdoneaz.com/story/installing-a-solar-panel-network-on-electric-poles/ fri, 29 jul 2011 11:00:50 +0000 http://dpetrov.2create.studio/planet/wordpress/installing-a-solar-panel-network-on-electric-poles/ how much energy could we save by installing photovoltaic panels onto electrical poles?

]]>
in 1995, i proposed to florida light and power they install two photovoltaic (pv) panels per pole. how many giant metal electric poles do you suppose there are in the entire continental usa? too many to mention. wow, a built-in network of poles already existing to clamp a little pv panel. now if you simply used 250-watt panels and put two on each pole that would add 500 watts per pole. now imagine that times how many poles there are out there. it is mind boggling as to why this was not done 15 years ago.

amplifying the sun with aluminum reflectors //www.getitdoneaz.com/story/amplifying-the-sun-with-aluminum-reflectors/ sat, 23 jul 2011 10:30:05 +0000 http://dpetrov.2create.studio/planet/wordpress/amplifying-the-sun-with-aluminum-reflectors/ i boosted battery capacity in my solar porch lights by adding an aluminum reflectors to double sunlight on the pv chip on top of my solar porch lights. why are we still ignoring concentrated solar power for utility scale purposes as well as retail solar products? we can add aluminum reflectors to boost photovoltaic performance by two, three or even four times. i don’t have the stats but there are none whatsoever anywhere, anyway. why is aluminum the most neglected metal around?? environmentalists seem to favor coal over aluminum for investment purposes. i just don’t get it… any enlightenment, anybody?
