the keystone pipeline threatens the livelihood of the sioux tribe, ardent advocates of the sanctity of their land and the water which flows through it. the sioux have a right to their land and the resources within it. <\/p>\n
traveling from colorado to north dakota was no easy task, for the exact location of the mass protest was elusive. we wanted to be a fraction of something larger than ourselves and advocate for the retention and protection of the gorgeous river that supports the sioux. <\/p>\n
cotton candied clouds hung lazily above us with a color so vibrant it must have been painted by the imagination of a child. fluorescent pinks, purples and oranges of every shade danced across the clouds from the horizon. every mile was traversed in anticipation as the burial ground drew ever nearer.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
