algae can be turned into a green biofuel – both literally and figuratively. it is a nearly carbon-neutral fuel source and can be used into the gas tanks already in our cars, trucks, planes, etc. it can also be used to clean the air of carbon dioxide as it grows, and can be planted above busy highways to control air pollution from the cars below. plus, algae will likely make up an important part of our diets in the near future. it is extremely rich in protein and also contains other important nutritional components like omega-3s. right now though, these processes can be expensive, so we must create innovations that help to decrease these costs and make algae more accessible to everyone. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
