{"id":12805,"date":"2016-04-18t12:52:55","date_gmt":"2016-04-18t12:52:55","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/dpetrov.2create.studio\/planet\/wordpress\/meet-the-storyfest-finalists-andre-carter-and-rmyni-watson\/"},"modified":"2016-04-18t12:52:55","modified_gmt":"2016-04-18t12:52:55","slug":"meet-the-storyfest-finalists-andre-carter-and-rmyni-watson","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"\/\/www.getitdoneaz.com\/story\/meet-the-storyfest-finalists-andre-carter-and-rmyni-watson\/","title":{"rendered":"meet the storyfest finalists: andre carter and r\u2019myni watson"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>andre carter is a senior at tougaloo college studying mass communications with a concentration in radio\/television broadcasting, public relations and advertising. r\u2019myni watson is a freshman at jackson state university studying theatre. andre and r\u2019myni heard of planet forward\u2019s storyfest 2016 contest through professors at their universities. <a href=\"\/\/www.getitdoneaz.com\/idea\/saving-our-farms-saving-our-families\">for their submission<\/a>, they created a video that focused on saving local farms in mississippi.<\/p>\n<p>we asked the team&nbsp;a few questions to learn more about their entry.<\/p>\n<p><strong>q: what was your inspiration behind your innovation? how did you come up with this idea?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>a:<\/strong> our inspiration behind our innovation \u2014 addressing how urban farming is promoting and improving the quality of health and food access in the state of mississippi \u2014&nbsp;was the decrease of family-owned,&nbsp;african american farming because the government is buying all of the lands. also, this video was created to show everyone the growing epidemic of obesity in mississippi.<\/p>\n<p><strong>q:&nbsp;what was the process behind creating your submission? why did you choose to communicate your innovation through this video format?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>a: <\/strong>the process behind our submission was basically coming up with a strong and solid storyboard, and how it should be organized. &#8230;
