the sewanee eco-auto club is a student organization at the university of the south dedicated to exploring ways in which the common consumer can best approach questions of efficiency with automobile use.<\/p>\n
students in this club have taken a “clunker” (1998 ford explorer with 213,000miles) and modified it for efficiency and extended use. in this journey, students discovered that with a little creativity and a small budget, they were able to debunk the perception that all old cars are “junk”.<\/p>\n
