since initially thinking about smart energy grids could potentially work at gw, i researched if any other universities have set-up smart-grid systems. i concluded that renewable, smart energy on college campuses is an untapped opportunity. many universities have the resources to conduct this type of project, and they should exemplify the potential of these technologies for the rest if the united states. hopefully other organizations and individuals would follow their lead. the initial cost will be somewhat high, the long-term environmental and financial benefits of this investment will outweigh these temporary burdens. as opposed to adjusting the thermostats a degree or two, a computerized smart-grid would create a comprehensive approach to saving energy.<\/p>\n
