i am an environmental studies-biology senior at reed college in portland, or.<\/p>\r\n\r\n
i grew up in the woods of rural wisconsin on an organic farm. in addition to fostering my love for being outside and in natural spaces, growing up on a farm helped me appreciate the value of hard work and how to make do with what you have in the moment. <\/p>\r\n\r\n
my parents really are who taught how to love and fight for the environment. social media also is a powerful tool for influencing others so i must give it its due in the role it has played in educating me on various environmental issues around the globe and at home. <\/p>\r\n\r\n
after i graduate i hope to work a job in conservation, or head out to sea on a tall ship. <\/p>\r\n\r\n
